Outside

Evan loves to be outside! On Friday afternoon he and I took a walk to a park that is only about 3/4 of a mile from our house. He had more fun playing with the rocks and sticks than with the playground equipment!

The weather has been beautiful the last few days!  Joel cleaned up the porch on Saturday so that we could keep the sliding doors open to let the breeze in and to let Evan play out there. Evan and Jack are enjoying it!

Hope you are getting to enjoy the fresh air too!

Poop!!!

Warning! This might be a little gross.

Tonight as I was feeding Evan his supper he acted like he was trying to poop. We hurried up with his food and I took him up to his changing table to clean him up...but he hadn't actually gone yet.  I thought it would be a perfect time to sit him on the potty...since he clearly needed to go.  The second I sat him on the seat he went!!!  He also peed a little. Joel and I cheered and clapped and let him look at it. He took a look and then went over to the bathtub where Joel had been running his bath water. He got in the tub....and then pooped more. Gross! Luckily Joel was there to clean up the tub.

Overall I think it was successful. He has peed on the potty once before and tonight he did both! Yeah for our little boy!

The Fly

For those of you who knew me in college and remember all the nights I talked in my sleep this one is for you...

2:57 am
Jen: Watch out Jack is gonna get that fly!
Joel: I don't think you know what you are talking about.

Then early this morning Joel was leaving for work and as he kissed me goodbye I said, "I hope it works out for you."

A Note From Evan

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our new blog. My mommy decided it was time for a new look and she couldn't figure out how to change the other blog so she just made a new one.

We've been pretty busy around here! My friend Noah and his mommy & daddy came to visit last week. We got to go see this new kid named Landon. He was only 2 days old! Josh & Krystle are his parents and they go to church with us. I'm sure he'll be one of my buddies!

Here is Noah watching his mommy hold Landon...

Matt, Noah's daddy, was my new best friend! He let me play with his hat! Here I am with Noah, his parents, and Landon...

Then it was my mommy's turn to hold Landon...I'm not sure I really liked my mommy holding another kid...

And here is Landon with his mommy and daddy...

After the Bolins left we headed out on an airplane from Gainesville to Charlotte, NC! My friend Isaac recently moved up there. I know my parents were very sad to see the Whitlocks move but we were happy to be able to visit them. Katie wrote a good summary and has a bunch of pictures on her blog so you can just click here to see it.

And I love this picture of me & my daddy that is not on Katie's blog...
